SEAWOOL
Turning seashell waste into treasures
In Taiwan, oyster farming has been a tradition for over 300 years. However, after each harvest, thousands of discarded shells accumulate, negatively impacting the environment and affecting marine biodiversity. Over time, this excess waste becomes an ecological challenge that requires innovative solutions.
Today, technology and sustainability come together to transform this waste into a valuable resource. Through a pioneering process, oyster shells are combined with recycled PET bottles to create Seawool, the wool of the sea, a revolutionary textile fiber. Soft, durable, and with natural thermal characteristics, its fabrics not only reduce waste but also bring comfort and sustainability to the garments.
